Declaring a session
Updated Oct 19, 20263 min read
A session commitment is a short declaration you make before trading: the limits you intend to respect today and one line of intention. What you declare in advance is the part of the day you can still control; afterwards you can only describe it.
Declare the session
- Open the session from the Hub (Before session) or from the session panel in the bottom-right corner of the app, then choose Open the session.
- Select the session accounts. Only accounts with the same currency and timezone can share one commitment; incompatible accounts are excluded and listed.
- Set your limits for today: Max trades and Max loss. Leave a field empty if you do not want to declare it: an undeclared limit is never judged.
- With several accounts, choose how the limits apply: same limits for each account, different limits per account or one shared total across all selected accounts.
- Write what you intendin one line, for example “Today I only trade A setups, and if I miss the entry I don’t chase”. It is not measured; it is there to reread when you review the day.
- Choose Make the commitment.
Declared once, before the first trade
A session is declared once and cannot be changed after the day has started: a change would describe what is happening, not commit to it. A commitment made after the first trade stays visible but is not counted in any statistic. How it is measured
- Behavior Score checks whether the session respected the limits declared before trading. See Behavior Score and Process Score.
- Process Score includes Sessions declared, the share of trading days with an advance commitment, once you have started using the ritual.
- Previous sessionsshows how many commitments made before trading were kept. In Strategies, Risk Adherence reads the same limits for the sessions that contain the strategy’s operations.
